Guess What Came to Dinner and In Defense of Food</title><content type='html'>I have recently finished a book that had me squirming all over, BUT very informative and a MUST read. If you haven't perused through &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Guess What Came to Dinner&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;, then you are missing some very important (but somewhat scary) information on parasites in our bodies (most of us have worms, you see) and how they get there.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Whenever I bring up this book to friends, family and co-workers, they go "oh, gross" or "I don't want to know", etc. and that baffles me. Why don't people want to know about possible dangers to the health of themselves or their children? Parasites have been linked to learning disabilities in kids, stunted growth, nutritional deficiencies, and thousands of other symptoms in adults as well.  I could get into more details, but I am not sure if you have eaten your meal yet, so, basically, read this informative book, you will learn ALOT!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The next one was a well written and heartfelt explanation of how so many issues concering food have gotten all out of whack, from they way we think about it, to the confusion the media brings and don't forget the money that is involved in the unhealthy foods (the same companies that also may own pharmaceuticals!) which all leads to the mess we are in right now...we are fatter, sicker, and more dependent on drugs.  The author brings us back to understanding how simple it really should be about what, how and why we should eat. Eat real food, slowly, enjoying meal with family or friends, not overeatting....and hey, that's thats really it. I still am in shock, but it is the first batch that the kids love to drink!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The importance of this drink can go on for pages. Basically, the point of green smoothies is to make leafy greens easier on the palate, easier to chew and swallow, a good way to intake chlorophyll into your body (please look into the necessity of this!), get your vitamins and minerals, etc.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My own health benefits (after only 2 days of this drink!)....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Woke up early without the morning drowsiness&lt;br /&gt;Reduced gastritis symptoms&lt;br /&gt;Began thinking more clearly&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will continue this each morning and also keep the kids drinking it too. Each time plastic goes through a heat cycle, it loses strength because oxygen in the atmosphere goes into the material and creates oxygen "holes." Mr. Grosbard found that, by mixing a small amount of sugar into the plastic material during the heat cycle, the sugar grabbed the oxygen first, preventing the oxygen holes and making the plastic stronger.&lt;br /&gt;Research has shown that:&lt;br /&gt;Processed sugar blocks the absorption of calcium.&lt;br /&gt;Processed sugar produces a low oxygen environment.&lt;br /&gt;Processed sugar is extremely acidic.&lt;br /&gt;Too much processed sugar is the death of the immune system. It interrupts the Kreb's energy cycle which in turn suppresses your immune system's manufacture of killer cells and antibodies.&lt;br /&gt;Processed sugar depletes B vitamins which is needed by the liver to detoxify it. The liver is the most important organ when it comes to healing the body.&lt;br /&gt;Sugar does stop hiccups. The New England Journal of Medicine published the results of a study that used sugar successfully to stop hiccups in 19 out of 20 people; some of whom had been hiccupping for as long as 6 weeks.&lt;br /&gt;Cancer has become the number one "killer disease in children" in the past few years. Sugar consumption is robbing the oxygen out of their little bodies and making their cells extremely acidic while shutting off their immune systems. Sugar averages for children are around 36 teaspoons a day.&lt;br /&gt;The next time you feel like having a soda, just think about this: Colas are extremely acidic with a pH of approximately 2.5. It takes 32 glasses of water with a pH of 10 to neutralize that one cola. And, keep in mind that most water is relatively neutral with a pH of 7.2; water with a pH of ten is approximately one thousand times more alkaline than your run of the mill glass of water.&lt;br /&gt;The other night the news showed a small boy who had just had chemotherapy. His face and eyes showed the horrors he had been through and he appeared to be lifeless and unwilling to live due to being physically destroyed by the poisons (mustard gas). His doctor and loved ones stood over him with a vanilla milk shake in an effort to make him feel better. They were giving him more acid elements (milk shake - sugar) causing his cellular pH to drop more into the pH range that cancer needs to survive within. God forbid.&lt;br /&gt;Alas, I cannot recommend the use of sugar substitutes such as Nutrasweet, which is made from aspartame. Aspartame is 10% wood alcohol -- which your body metabolizes into various carcinogens! (One of them is DKP--which may cause brain tumors.) Fully three-quarters of all non-drug complaints to the FDA involve aspartame. Complaints include headaches, dizziness, mood changes, numbness, vomiting, nausea, muscle cramps and spasms, abdominal pain, vision problems, skin lesions, memory loss and seizures.&lt;br /&gt;You are the only one who change the circumstances that are slowly destroying you and your children. Although we can give you information, ultimately you are responsible for your health. It depends.” Yet, they still recommend that persons of selected groups take the newly concocted flu vaccine. Those targeted for the vaccine range from babies six months or older; to persons age 65 or older; special groups, such as those with chronic disorders of the pulmonary or cardiovascular systems, and others too numerous to mention. Actually, the list takes in practically everybody.The Hygienic theory of the development of influenza is the antithesis of medical orthodoxy. Physicians believe the disease is due to various and numerous bacteria or viruses. Hygienists realize that the development of any disease is dependent on the lifestyle of the individual. Hygienists live in such a clean manner that their bodies retain no excess toxins and their Defense Mechanisms are in perfect condition!It is impossible to prevent disease by artificial means. You are a living creature and your body will develop disease when the physical, mental and environmental conditions are so unsatisfactory they force the body to initiate an acute elimination crisis, such as influenza--which, if cared for properly, is not the dreaded disease as pictured by the purveyors of vaccinations. Vaccines add to the toxicity of the body and hence, cause disease. You can't make a healthy person a sick one unless you overwhelm him with poisons. And vaccines are poisons!Former flu virus vaccines, using “live” viruses, produced too many serious, adverse reactions, so a new one had to be concocted. The latest 2002-2003 formula for flu vaccines is called the “subvirion.” This is a mutilated virus “blended, spliced and macerated” until nothing but bits and pieces of the virus are left. However, splitting the virus makes it no less harmful. The toxic antigens, usually protein or carbohydrate in nature, are still present and are still poisonous. If they were not poisonous they would not cause the body to produce antibodies in self-defense. Medically speaking, this is why they are thought to produce immunity. Physicians are trying to cause a mild disease based on the ancient idea that if you suffer the disease once you won’t get it again. We very well know that flu, colds, pneumonia and other acute diseases can develop in the same individuals multiple times. Although the split virus is purported to be less toxic than former flu vaccines, after scrutinizing and analyzing its components and their chemical attributes, I have serious doubts.Should We Be Vaccinated?Is the 2002-2003 influenza virus vaccine helpful or detrimental? Will it protect us or will it cause a great ruckus in the body? Studying the effects of the components of the influenza virus vaccine is not as enjoyable as drinking a delicious mango-banana smoothie, but it will help answer your questions. In fact, learning the contents of this new vaccine may make you want to either retch or shout: “No thank you!”The flu vaccine contains a variety of other substances besides the molecules of the subvirion that wreck havoc with your health. I am sorry to have to tell you that it is grown in an embryonic chicken or in the allantoic fluids that surround it in the egg. All flu vaccines are manufactured a little differently, and contain slightly different components, but they all contain hemagglutinin antigens that can cause clumping of the red blood cells. If this happens in the bloodstream, it will cause an even greater blockage of circulation than an accident on a busy freeway. The hemagglutinin antigens coupled with the body's antibodies against them can block arteries, killing cells by the thousands. The cells in vital organs will be starved for air, food and water, just as they are in serious cardiovascular diseases. If one pile of a bridge is damaged, this leads to a weakening of the whole bridge, which becomes a hazard to those crossing it; just as our cell membranes are a hazard to us when their glycoproteins are functionally damaged.Medical Theory of Vaccination is FlawedMedical theory holds that increased levels of antibodies against specific antigens by vaccination will prevent the development of a particular disease, such as influenza. On the other hand, Hygienists hold that our susceptibility to disease increases with the number of vaccinations. This includes the dreaded demon disease, cancer.Red blood cells and all cells have antigenic properties because all have both protein and carbohydrates in the cell wall, as we have just learned. Research has demonstrated that N-neuraminidase causes red blood cells to lose their antigenicity. So the vaccine is worthless as well as very damaging to all the tissues in the body.The Growing and Preparation of Influenza Virus VaccineThe allantoic fluids in which the flu vaccine is grown, contain a white crystalline substance called allantoin. As an animal waste product, it is not usable and hence it is toxic. Allantoin has a high nitrogen content, which is why it is used as fertilizer. Allantoin is broken down to dirueidoacetic acid. Many comparisons were shown regarding China's diet and lifestyles vs. our Western diets of massive amounts of animal protein (ie: milk, cheese, yogurt, steak, sausage, hot dogs, etc!) The findings were indisputable and impressive....the more animal protein, the more diseases of the heart, liver, colon, rectum, etc. AND it gets better, female children who consume large amounts of animal protein start menstruation at a much younger age in the US than China. China's average age for menstruation is 17 years of age! US is seeing early menstruation as early as 10 years old!!!! This means alot of things....mainly in the earlier years a greater risk for teenage pregnancy and then later breast cancer due to the increased hormone levels!&lt;br /&gt;This book is an indepth look into food and its role in disease. Yet this acidic ingredient is a precursor to highly carcinogenic oracidic nitrosamines -- potent cancerous-causing acidic chemicals that acceleratethe formation and growth of cancerous acidic cells throughout the body. This is the first time viruses have been approved for use as foodadditives. The FDA wants you to believe it will be safe to consume these virusesevery day for the rest of your life with no adverse health effects. This is amonumental announcement by the FDA, indicating they are throwing all caution tothe wind regarding the safety of our food supply. Are you willing to stand in line for a virus-laden sandwich? How do you like theidea of buying virus-infested food for your family? The first virallycontaminated foods entering our food supply with the blessings of the FDA willbe luncheon meat and poultry. Live viruses will be sprayed on foods such as coldcuts, sausages, hot dogs, sliced turkey, and chicken. At issue is the very real problem of a poor quality FDA-approved food supplythat is already full of diseased and sickly animals, many of them imported fromother countries. The use of antibiotics during growth and radiation during foodprocessing is required by the fast-food animal farms owned by multi-nationalcompanies to cover up the horrendous health of the animals they wish to feed toAmericans. Animals in poor health are a friendly place for bacteria to grow andprosper, especially after such meat goes to market. Rather than address thesource of the problem, the FDA wants to add another adulteration into our foodsupply. The stated goal of the new FDA-approved viruses is to kill a rare bacteriumknown as Listeria monocytogenes. This bacterium is killed by cooking; however,it poses a problem in meats that are cooked during processing and not cookedagain prior to consumption, so it can readily infect foods such as deli meats. Yes, the FDA plans to use one infectious organism to fight another. The carnageof battle will end up in your digestive tract along with the victorious liveviruses, which the FDA assures us will not attack human cells. However, theycannot possibly be certain the viruses will not attack the friendly bacteriathat make up the lining of your digestive tract. The FDA approval was based onscant human testing, mostly from unrelated medical experiments. Such safety datais woefully inadequate to determine safe ingestion of a specific product byhumans over the course of a lifetime. Turning Loose the Bacteria-Killing Viruses The company that produces these biotech viruses is Baltimore-based Intralytix,Inc. The viruses are known as bacteriophages, viruses that kill bacteria, orphages for short. Phages have been around a long time, living as parasitesinside many bacteria. Intralytix uses biotechnology to grow viral phages in a culture with Listeria,in theory teaching the viruses to recognize the bacteria. The FDA-approvedcocktail contains six different viruses intended to attack one strain ofbacteria. This concoction is then sprayed on food. If Listeria is present in the food, thebacteria will ingest the viruses. This results in massive viral replicationinside the bacteria, until such point as the bacteria simply bursts. This battleresults in significant production of bacterial poisons called "endotoxins", asthe bacteria tries to defend itself. When the bacteria burst, these endotoxinsare released. These, along with the victorious live viruses, will now be on thefood that will be eaten. The FDA and Intralytix would like us to believe that these viruses will onlyattack the specified bacteria they are intended to kill and will be harmless tohumans. I'm sorry to burst their bubble, but they can't possibly guarantee suchsafety. It is true that the viruses, at least at this time, cannot recognizehuman cells. However, the virus can potentially recognize normal bacterial cellsin the human digestive tract and may be able to adapt to infect one or more ofthese friendly bacteria. The FDA Certainly Knows There Are Risks The FDA had some concerns about the amount of bacterial endotoxin in theIntralytix product before it is sprayed; however, FDA tests apparently showedthat the product was adequately purified and so they declared it safe if used asapproved. Will the FDA diligently monitor the quality of this product once it ison the market, or will it go the path of many FDA-approved drugs that the agencycan't keep track of? There is certainly a risk that humans will be exposed to excessive amounts ofendotoxin. This could come from the manufacturing of the viral cocktail, theinteraction of the viruses with bacteria after being sprayed on food, and/or theinteraction of the viruses with bacteria in the digestive tract. The human immune system is highly reactive and sensitive to bacterialendotoxins. They provoke allergy, asthma, autoimmune problems, and elevatecholesterol. They also interfere with the healthy function of cells lining thedigestive tract. Researchers have demonstrated that the presence of bacterialendotoxins can start cancer in the colon. Additionally, the human immune system reacts directly to viral phages. Thus, aperson who eats a lot of processed deli meat is certain to evoke an immunereaction to the viruses. What will this reaction be? Allergy? Asthma?Autoimmunity? Cancer? How can the FDA approve a food additive that it knows caninduce a variety of human immune responses? Phages are so good at disruptingnormal immunity that they are being considered for use as part of organtransplant medicine. The ingestion of significant amounts of viral phages into the human digestivetract is a wild card full of unknown outcomes. For example, it is certainlypossible that these phages, which constantly mutate in order to survive, arelikely to find a way to infect bacteria they were not intended to infect. Sincephages are parasites, they could hijack the friendly bacteria of the digestivetract and turn them into viral machines, constantly generating viral particlesthat are likely to confuse the human immune system, if not directly infect thebody. We know from history that these viral phages can turn innocuous bacteriainto a killer, which is how cholera occurs. Furthermore, the Listeria bacteria are not going to take the issue lying down.They will develop resistance to the viruses over time, as we have seen with theoveruse of antibiotics. Going down this path we are likely to have hundreds ofviral food additives in the food we eat, all designed to combat some possibleinfection coming from poor quality food. Sooner or later we will inadvertentlycreate deadly new super-strains of bacteria and/or parasitically infect thehuman digestive tract with an untreatable infection. There is also the very real possibility of unintended viral recombination. Whathappens when a person with viral stomach flu eats food containing a dose of thisviral food additive? It is certainly possible for the genetic material of theflu virus to interact with the genetic material of the viral phages, provokingan undesirable new viral infection. Let's not forget that the FDA won't tell us which foods in the food supplycontain genetically modified organisms (GMO). Seventy percent of the packagedfood on grocery shelves already contains GMO adulterated food. These foods haveviral promoter genes woven into the DNA of every cell, a technique used toimplant a pesticide toxin into every cell of this fake food (see Fight for YourHealth, chapter 15). What happens when the viral phages interact with the viralpromoter genes in GMO food? What new virus will be encouraged to form? Keep in mind that the FDA wants to conduct this experiment on our food supply toprotect a small minority, only about 2500 people, who are made seriously ill bythis infection each year. The ill are mostly pregnant women, elderly withcompromised immunity, and small children. It would be a lot more to the point ifthe FDA would simply warn such people that eating these foods, due to their poorquality of production, may be dangerous. What the FDA should really do isimprove the quality of our food supply, the true source of the problem. Whyexpose millions of Americans to an unproven ingestion of live viruses for thebenefit of so few? The FDA has failed miserably for the past century to protect the public from theadulteration of our food supply by vested interests. This is just one moreinsult added to a long list of injuries. The Tip of an Iceberg Intralytix has an agenda for the American food supply, as well as for healthcarein general. This recent FDA ruling allows Intralytix and other similar biotechcompanies to get their foot in a door that should be slammed shut and boltedclosed. The company is also seeking FDA approval for viral sprays to treat foods thatcould be contaminated with E. coli and Salmonella, which means that similar"trained" viruses could end up in a majority of the protein foods in our foodsupply. Intralytix sees financial opportunity. They have already licensed their nowFDA-approved viral spray to an undisclosed multi-national company for use aroundthe world. When the CEO of Intralytix, John Vazzara, was recently asked aboutthis partner company, he refused to disclose their name. The grand profit-drivenbiotech experiment on the health and well being of all Americans is now in fullswing. John Vazzara also owns stock in, as well as provided seed money to start,SteelCloud Inc. (formerly Dunn Computer Corporation). SteelCloud is a defensecontractor with lucrative deals with the Department of Defense, recently landinga 3.4 million dollar contract with the Department of Homeland Security. Congress should investigate the financial ties and backroom dealings that wouldallow this bizarre food additive approval by the FDA. Of course, we will need new wonder drugs to combat the new bio-tech producedinfections. Americans will stay sick and the sickness-driven bio-tech industrywill flourish. The bio-tech industry will make people sick on the front end andtreat them on the back end. It's a win-win situation for profit on illness. The FDA is Rapidly Becoming a Public Enemy Experimenting with viruses (acids) being added to the food supply is incrediblydangerous and reckless. It is completely impossible for the FDA to guaranteesafety in the near term or the long term. Thus, the FDA has made thebureaucratic decision that relative safety is acceptable to them. What rightdoes the FDA have to tamper with the food supply in this manner? It is quite clear that the Bush agenda has been to promote American biotechcompanies as the new future for American prosperity. Administrative opinionshave trumped science in virtually every situation wherein safety conflicts withprofit. The FDA acts to foster profits for biotech companies and the growth ofthe biotech industry. This is a betrayal of the public trust. The leaders of the FDA are personally responsible and need to be heldaccountable. This means Andrew von Eschenbach, M.D., temporary head of the FDAand his chief science officer, Scott Gottlieb, M.D. These men are not onlyobsessed with approving risky drugs for the benefits of Big Pharma, it is nowclear that they are willing to allow obvious adulteration of the food supply.They seek to control what we eat, and they are tampering with survival of thehuman race. The FDA does not truly know how safe viral phages are to consume on a regularbasis. They have no idea of the cumulative effect over the course of a lifetime,especially as more of these viral cocktails are added to the food supply. Theyhave no way to measure how this new type of adulteration in the food supply willinteract with the poor digestive/immune health of half the American population,in combination with all the other serious adulterations already approved by theFDA. The FDA lacks due diligence in honoring its mandate to protect the Americanpublic. Boycott Viral Tainted Foods, Support Your Sustainable Farmers The only hope Americans have is to resurrect the quality of our food supply.Doing so is against the odds, as there are billions of dollars ofprofit-mongering taking our food supply in the wrong direction. One dayAmericans will realize that food security is as important to national securityas any other topic. It is now crystal clear that we cannot count on the FDA todo the job that Harvey Wiley, M.D., envisioned one-hundred years ago. Consumers standing in line to buy a luncheon meat sandwich will have no idea ifthey are ingesting live viruses (acids) as part of their meal. While the FDAwill require the ingredient to be listed on packages as "bacteriophagepreparation," most consumers will have no idea that means they are ingestinglive viruses (acids). Foods bought at deli counters or prepared in restaurantswill not need to warn consumers. How can any responsible parent feed virus-tainted or acid tainted food to theirchildren? The FDA should be forced to revoke this approval. Every American hasan obligation to support food security for our nation. Congress must correct theleadership at the FDA and the FDA itself. Americans must quit buying poorquality toxic and acidic food. Second only to breathing and sustaining our heartbeat, the most important metabolic function that our bodies perform is maintaining a specific pH. The most important pH level that the body must regulate is the blood’s pH level. The body’s blood pH level must be maintained at 7.4 (slightly alkaline). If it varies more than a point, death can result from a coma or a seizure. In order to maintain the blood’s critical pH balance, the body will compromise less important functions. Once the electrolyte reserves become depleted, the body begins to rob these electrolytes from the various organs and systems of the body to maintain the blood’s pH level. This is where the imbalance begins. The following are examples of altered pH levels and the resulting imbalanced internal body system:&lt;br /&gt;If the bowels and intestines are robbed of electrolyte minerals, the pH level becomes altered. This creates an imbalance in the bacterial environment, which can leave the bowels and intestines open to pathogens (including candida and parasites), irritations and disturbances. The smooth folds of the colon are speckled with glands that resemble skin pores. These glands extract the fluids and electrolytes from the passing food residue. This fluid - about a quart each day - is recycled and eventually filtered and excreted by the kidneys as urine. Bowel movement is a bit slower process, it comes in large waves three or four times per day. Stimulated by the arrival of food to the stomach, the muscle bands of the colon move the contents along through each section. Once the stool moves out of the sigmoid colon into the rectum, the brain gets the signal that nature is calling, and so we go.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;BUT WHAT IF I CAN'T GO?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Has that ever happened to you?  Everyone at one time or another experiences constipation.  If you have chronic constipation or don't feel finished when you've finished the job, you need colon cleansing.  Common sense and science tell us that prolonged retention of feces and stale waste matter in the colon may, and often does, result in blockage of the passage within the colon causing all kinds of disease.  A plaster-like coating can form on the walls of the colon. Colon irrigation can and will dissolve this, but to remove it too rapidly could cause the inner lining of the colon to become raw. The best approach is to gradually, comfortably, and effectively soak and saturate the colon with water.  It takes years to create blockage and build-up to the inside walls of the colon so it may take a series of bowel irrigations (maybe dozens) to cleanse thoroughly. Once you can appreciate increased energy, lightness of being, and the overall healthful feeling that bowel irrigation provides, you'll want to maintain a regular schedule to stay healthy, look younger and feel great!&lt;br /&gt;Most of us judge colon health by the frequency and type of bowel movements we experience. Many in the orthodox medical field of study believe that individual rates of peristaltic action differ widely.  A perfectly normal rate of bowel movement can vary anywhere from three times a day to three times a week depending on who you ask. Some say that we ought not to expect our bowels to operate exactly the same two days in a row. On the other hand, most alternative, naturopathic, homeopathic or wholistically-minded folks believe that a healthy colon will have good evacuation two to three times within 24 hours. Some also believe that bowel movement should occur like clockwork, aiding and abetting nutritional cycles. For the better part of this century, naturalistic healers have believed that the indigestible portion of the food we eat lodges in the large intestine and stays there until eliminated in a bowel movement. Therefore, infrequent movements or periods of constipation (especially those extending beyond 72 hours) can result in only a partial decomposition of waste, which can encrust the colon walls and hinder elimination. The toxins from this fecal matter are then reabsorbed into the body through the bloodstream, lowering the body's defenses against every bacteria, virus, and disease imaginable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;COLON CANCER&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Colon health is a topic of lasting human interest and has been since antiquity. The reason people don't like to talk openly about colon cancer or even colon health, is probably because of the body parts involved--the rectum and the anus.  Statistics being what they are, the sooner we address the issue and start monitoring our own colons, the better.  Colon cancer is killing people at an alarming rate.  The ancient Egyptians knew that food was the source of all illness and purged themselves regularly.  Today, over 90% of Americans are walking around with clogged colons (US Health Service).  At the turn of the last century, diverticulitis was unheard of.  The cliche "you are what you eat" is unconditionally true and all the more reason to cleanse and detox the body.  Dr. Bernard Jensen defined autointoxication as "the poisoning of the body, or some part of the body, by toxic matter generated therein." Autointoxication is self-poisoning, or slow suicide. Low vitality seems to be the bane of our daily experience. Everything about our existence in today's world is moving at such a fast pace that it just leaves us breathless. It seems as if there is never enough time to accomplish our goals. The rhythm of life should be a balance of activity and rest. But today's world just does not seem to allow for that.&lt;br /&gt;Fifty to seventy five years ago the soil in which we grew our food was more mineral rich giving our bodies the precious nutrients needed for good health. Due to modern farming practices, it is almost impossible to receive all of the nutrients that we need from our food and water supply. We can no longer drink the mineral rich water from our wells due to pollution and contamination. Our foods are deficient in nutrient content.&lt;br /&gt;So many of us today are malnourished. We all work so hard that we grab whatever is the quickest and easiest form of food and stuff it into our bodies, not paying any attention to the nutritional value of our meals, or taking the time to enjoy them. So instead of food being our medicine it becomes our poison.&lt;br /&gt;The degree of fatigue varies from person to person, from those who do not have enough energy to accomplish the daily tasks, to those who are rendered almost helpless from exhaustion. Some of us may have inherited a weaker constitution from our parents or from early childhood traumas, and others may suffer from malnutrition or the inability to obtain the proper nutrients from the food that we eat.&lt;br /&gt;No matter how tired we may be, we all have the ability to correct the situation through proper nutrition, supplementation, and exercise, combined with the proper balance of rest and activity. The first step is to discover the source of the tiredness.&lt;br /&gt;Nutritional biochemistry, environmental toxins and allergies, stress, adrenal weakness, low thyroid, sleep disorders, hypoglycemia, gut toxicity, and food allergies are some of the causes that can propel us into an unbroken cycle of fatigue. Offer these foods at home. Ready to eat is the optimum, because kids will choose what is more convenient. The best thing you can do for yourselves and your children and loved ones is to read this book and others like it....food commercials will not tempt you ANYMORE about how nutritious they may be or GOOD FOR YOU. It is terribly sad how we are consumed with false information...day to day we see advertisements, billboards, television commercials all preaching how their products have what your body needs...products in cans, boxes, jars, plastic containers are ABSOLUTELY NOT WHAT YOUR BODY NEEDS! This is of course enshrined in the concept of the RDA, the recommended dietary allowances, which guard against the known deficiency diseases in about 98 % of the population and we might call that passive prevention. Go one step further, and you have the concept of &lt;a href="http://www.ion.ac.uk/" target="_blank"&gt;optimal nutrition&lt;/a&gt;. There is a curious tendency in conventional medicine to name a set of symptoms a disease. I was recently at a compounding pharmacy having my bone mineral density measured to update my health stats. I spotted a poster touting a new drug for osteoporosis. It was written by a drug company and it said exactlythis: 'Osteoporosis is a disease that causes weak and fragile bones.' Then, the poster went on to say that you need a particular drug to counteract this 'disease.' Yet the language is all backwards. Osteoporosis isn't a disease that causes weak bones, osteoporosis is the name given to a diagnosis of weak bones. In other words, the weak bones are the result of excess acidity, and then the diagnosis of osteoporosis followed. The drug poster makes it sound like osteoporosis strikes first, and then you get weak bones. The cause and effect is all backwards. And that's how drug companies want people to think about diseases and symptoms: first you 'get' the disease, and then you are 'diagnosed' just in time to take a new drug for the rest of your life. But it's all hogwash. There is no such disease as osteoporosis. It's just a made-up name given to a pattern of symptoms that indicate you are over-acid which causes your bones to get fragile. As another example, when a person follows an unhealthy lifestyle that results in a symptom such as high blood pressure, that symptom is actually being assumed to be a disease all by itself and it will be given a disease name. What disease? The disease is, of course, 'high blood pressure.' Doctors throw this phrase around as if it were an actual disease and not merely descriptive of patient physiology. This may all seem silly, right? But there's actually a very important point to all this. When we look at symptoms and give them disease names, we automatically distort the selection of available treatments for such a disease. If the disease is, by itself, high cholesterol, then the cure for the disease must be nothing other than lowering the high cholesterol. And that's how we end up with all these pharmaceuticals treating high cholesterol in order to 'prevent' this disease and lower the levels of LDL cholesterol in the human patient. By lowering only the cholesterol, the doctor can rest assured that he is, in fact, treating this 'disease,' since the definition of this 'disease' is high cholesterol and nothing else. But there is a fatal flaw in this approach to disease treatment: the symptom is not the cause of the disease. There is another cause, and this deeper cause is routinely ignored by conventional medicine, doctors, drug companies, and even patients. Let's take a closer look at high blood pressure. What actually causes high blood pressure? Many doctors would say high blood pressure is caused by a specific, measurable interaction between circulating chemicals in the human body. Thus, the ill-behaved chemical compounds are the cause of the high blood pressure, and therefore the solution is to regulate these chemicals. That's exactly what pharmaceuticals do -- they attempt to manipulate the chemicals in the body to adjust the symptoms of high blood pressure. Thus, they only treat the symptoms, not the root cause. Or take a look at high cholesterol. The conventional medicine approach says that high cholesterol is caused by a chemical imbalance in the liver, which is the organ that produces cholesterol. Thus the treatment for high cholesterol is a prescription drug that inhibits the liver's production of cholesterol (statin drugs). Upon taking these drugs, the high cholesterol (the 'disease') is regulated, but what was causing the liver to overproduce cholesterol in the first place? That causative factor remains ignored. The root cause of high cholesterol, as it turns out, is primarily an over acidic diet. A person who eats foods that are acidic will inevitably cause the body to go into preservation mode and produce more cholesterol to neutralize the excess acid thus showing the symptoms of this so-called disease of high cholesterol. Its simple cause and effect. Eat the wrong foods, and you'll produce too much acid which will cause the body to release cholesterol from the liver to bind up that acid which can be detected and diagnosed by conventional medical procedures. You see it is not the cholesterol that is bad it is the acid producing food we eat that is bad. Reduce the acid producing foods like beef, chicken, pork, dairy, coffee, tea, soda pops, etc and you will reduce the protective cholesterol that is saving your life from excess acid foods.Yet the root cause of all this is actually poor food choice, not some bizarre behavior by the liver. If the disease were to be accurately named, then, it would be called Acidic Food Choice Disease, or simply AFCD. AFCD would be a far more accurate name that would make sense to people. If it's an acidic foods choice disease, then it seems that the obvious solution to the disease would be to choose foods that aren't so acidic. Of course that may be a bit of simplification since you have to distinguish between healthy alkaline foods and unhealthy acidic foods. But at least the name AFCD gives patients a better idea of what's actually going on rather than naming the disease after a symptom, such as high cholesterol. You see, the symptom is not the disease, but conventional medicine insists on calling the symptom the disease because that way it can treat the symptom and claim success without actually addressing the underlying cause, which remains a mystery to modern medicine. But let's move on to some other diseases so you get a clearer picture of how this actually works. Another disease that's caused by poor acidic food choice is diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is the natural physiological and metabolic result of a person consuming refined carbohydrates and added sugars in large quantities, undigested proteins from beef, chicken, and pork without engaging in regular physical exercise that would compensate for such dietary practices. The name 'diabetes' is meaningless to the average person. The disease should be called Excessive Acid Disease, or EAD. If it were called Excessive Acid Disease, the solution to it would be rather apparent; simply eat less sugar, eliminate all animal proteins, eggs, dairy, drink fewer soft drinks and so on. But of course that would be far too simple for the medical community, so the disease must be given a complex name such as diabetes that puts its solution out of reach of the average patient. Another disease that is named after its symptom is cancer. In fact, to this day, most doctors and many patients still believe that cancer is a physical thing: a tumor. In reality, a tumor is the solution of cancer, not its cause. A tumor is simply a physical manifestation of bound up acidic cells so they do not spoil other healthy cells. The tumor is the solution to cells damaged by acids not the problem. The truth is cancer is not a cell but an acidic liquid. When a person 'has cancer,' what they really have is a latent tissue acidosis. They are absorbing their own acidic urine. It that would be a far better name for the disease: Latent Tissue Acidosis or LTA. If cancer were actually called Latent Tissue Acidosis, it would seem ridiculous to try to cure cancer by cutting out tumors through surgery and by destroying the immune system with chemotherapy. And yet these are precisely the most popular treatments for cancer offered by conventional medicine. These treatments do absolutely nothing to support the patient's immune system and prevent the build up of acids in the tissues. That's exactly why most people who undergo chemotherapy or the removal of tumors through surgical procedures end up with yet more cancer a few months or a few years later. It's also another reason why survival rates of cancer have barely budged over the last twenty years. (In other words, conventional medicine's treatments for cancer simply don't work.) The main reason is current medical science wrongly perceives cancer as a cell when in reality cancer is an acidic liquid, like lactic acid.This whole situation stems from the fact that the disease is misnamed. It isn't cancer, it isn't a tumor and it certainly isn't a disease caused by having too strong of an immune system that needs to be destroyed through chemotherapy. It is simply latent tissue acidosis. And if it were called latent tissue acidosis disease or urine in the tissues, the effective treatment for cancer would be apparent. There are many other diseases that are given misleading names by western medicine. But if you look around the world and take a look at how diseases are named elsewhere, you will find many countries have disease names that actually make sense. For example, in Chinese medicine, Alzheimer's disease is given a name that means, when translated, 'feeble mind disease.' In Chinese medicine, the name of the disease more accurately describes the actual cause of the disease which is caused by acids or urine on the brain, whereas in western medicine, the name of the disease seems to be intended to obscure the root cause of the disease, thereby making all diseases sound far more complex and mysterious than they really are. This is one way in which doctors and practitioners of western medicine keep medical treatments out of the reach of the average citizen. Because, by God, they sure don't want people thinking for themselves about the causes of disease! By creating a whole new vocabulary for medical conditions, they can speak their own secret language and make sure that people who aren't schooled in medicine don't understand what they're saying. That's a shame, because the treatments and cures for virtually all chronic diseases are actually quite simple and can be described in plain language, such as making different alkaline food choices, getting more natural sunlight, drinking more alkaline water, engaging in regular physical exercise, avoiding specific acidic foods, supplementing your diet with green foods and green drinks and alkalizing nutritional supplements and so on. See, western medicine prefers to describe diseases in terms of chemistry. When you're depressed, you aren't suffering from a lack of natural sunlight; you are suffering from a 'brain chemistry imbalance' that can only be regulated, they claim, by ingesting toxic chemicals to alter your brain chemistry. When your bones are brittle, it's not acidic brittle bones disease; it's called osteoporosis, something that sounds very technical and complicated. And to treat it, western doctors and physicians will give you prescriptions for expensive drugs that somehow claim to make your bones less brittle. But in fact, the real treatment for this can be described in plain language once again: regular physical exercise, vitamin D supplementation, mineral supplements that include calcium and strontium, natural sunlight, and avoidance of acidic foods such as soft drinks, white flour and added sugars. In fact, virtually every disease that's prominent in modern society -- diabetes, cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, clinical depression, irritable bowel syndrome and so on -- can be easily described in plain language without using complex terms at all. These diseases are simply misnamed. And I believe that they are intentionally misnamed to put the jargon out of reach of everyday citizens. As a result, there's a great deal of arrogance in the language of western medicine, and this arrogance furthers the language of separation. Separation never results in healing. In order to effect healing, we must bring together the language of healers and patients using plain language that real people understand and that real people can act upon. We need to start describing diseases in terms of their root causes,not in terms of their arcane, biochemical actions. When someone suffers from seasonal affective disorder or clinical depression, for example, let's call it what it is: Sunlight Deficiency Disorder. To treat it, the person simply needs to get more sunlight. This isn't rocket science, it's not complex, and it doesn't require a prescription. If someone is suffering from osteoporosis, let's get realistic about the words we use to describe the condition: it's really Acidic Bones Disease. And it should be treated with things that will enhance bone density, such as nutrition, physical exercise and avoidance of acidic foods and drinks that strip away bone mass from the human body to neutralize the excess acids in the blood and tissues. All of this information, of course, is rather shocking to old-school doctors and practitioners of western medicine, and the bigger their egos are, the more they hate the idea of naming diseases in plain language that patients can actually comprehend. That's because if the simple truths about diseases and their causes were known, health would be more readily available to everyday people, and that would lessen the importance of physicians and medical researchers. There's a great deal of ego invested in the medical community, and they sure don't want to make sound health attainable to the average person without their expert advice. Doctors all want to serve as the translators of 'truth' and will balk at any attempts to educate the public to either practice medicine on their own. But in reality, health (and a connection with spirit) is attainable by every single person. Health is easy, it is straightforward, it is direct and, for the most part, it is available free of charge. A personal connection with our Creator is the same if we ask humbly in prayer for a relationship with Him, and guidance. Don't believe the names of diseases given to you by your doctor.Those names are designed to obscure, not to inform. They are designed to separate you from self-healing, not to put you intouch with your own inner healer. This includes cooking, drying, heating, grinding, storing, etc.&lt;br /&gt;Each step of the refining process does two things:&lt;br /&gt;Reduces the nutritional value - contributes to deficiency diseases.&lt;br /&gt;Increases the sugar availability - contributes to diabetes, heart disease, etc.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;The modern world may require us to do some processing - to kill germs, to make foods more palatable.  Remember, the closer the food is to a living organism, the better it can nourish you.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Refined Carbohydrates:&lt;br /&gt;Breads and pastas - white bread is the same as white sugar; brown breads are only slightly better.&lt;br /&gt;Sugar is a poison - get it out of your life.&lt;br /&gt;Things to remember:&lt;br /&gt;"The more life in your food, the more life you get out of your food." - Eat things that can live and grow or have been recently living and growing.&lt;br /&gt;"It's not just what you eat, it's what you eat ate." - It is important to know what the cow ate that provides you with your meat.  It is important to know the quality of the soil where your vegetables grew.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Specifics:&lt;br /&gt;·        Eat more vegetables.  These have the most nutrients.  Get the best you can.  Buy organic.&lt;br /&gt;·        Fruits.  These are your deserts.  They have less nutritional value than vegetables and more sugar.  Don't process your fruits - fruit juices do about the same damage as soda pop.  Eat whole, organic fruits and eat them sparingly.&lt;br /&gt;·        Sweets.  Eating sweets is more damaging to your body than smoking.  It hurts your body in so many ways contributing to virtually all degenerative diseases.&lt;br /&gt;·        Oils.  Avoid the bad fats - all the cooking oils in your grocery store and all trans-fats - the hydrogenated fats - fake fats.  Use olive oil, the best you can get, for cooking.  For adding like in salad dressings or on your foods, use flax oil and flax oil blends.&lt;br /&gt;·        Meats.  Eat sparingly.  Get from a healthy animal, organic and free-ranged.  The organ meats are best.&lt;br /&gt;·        Dairy products.  If you have your own cow, it may be OK.  Otherwise, avoid.&lt;br /&gt;·        Eggs. First, upon waking test your saliva with the pHydrion paper. When you get out of bed, lick and wet the end of a pHydrion test strip with your saliva. Note the color change and write down the pH number. Do this before brushing your teeth, drinking, smoking, or even thinking of eating any food. The optimum saliva pH should be 6.8 to 7.2.2. Next, test your first urine of the morning. This is urine that has been stored in your bladder during the night that is ready to be eliminated when you get up. You need to pee on a strip of pHydrion paper, note the color change and write down the pH number. The first urine should run optimally between a pH 6.8 to 7.2. If your first urine pH is lower than 6.8you are deficient in alkaline buffers and need to move to a morealkaline dietrich in fresh green vegetables and fruits. Next, test your second morning urine before eating any food. This number should be the pH of your second urine after you have eliminated the acidload from the day before. The lower pH is also indicative of a diet high in protein and anincrease in acids from proteins including nitric, sulfuric, phosphoric and uricacids.
